First Post

What's in a name?
The APN-59 is an airborne radar, beloved by navigators before the digital era. It was sweet: in the dark, we could always see what was ahead. If only we had one of those while navigating this life.

I've never heard anyone say "gimme a vector," except in the movies. In science class, you learn that a vector is a direction and a quantity. In aviation, sometimes you are directed to go a certain direction for a certain distance or maybe a different altitude or speed. Sometimes you get a clearance to a waypoint, but you don't immediately know where that is, so you might request a vector.
In life, sometimes we don't know which way to go! We need vectors. Remember Scarlett O'Hara? "Where shall I go, what shall I do?" She was saying, "Gimme a vector!"
